When you create an account we collect your name and email address. Your password is never stored in plain text — it is securely hashed using industry standard encryption before being saved.
If you save devotionals or sermons as favourites, we store a record linking your account to those items so you can access them later.
You can use most of Fellowship With The Word, including reading devotionals, sermons and the Bible, without creating an account.
We use your name and email to identify your account and allow you to log in. We use your saved favourites only to display them back to you on your profile.
We do not sell, rent or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
Our app uses the following third party services:
Bible API (bible-api.com) — Used to retrieve Bible verses. When you search for a verse your query is sent to this service.
YouTube — Our sermons page embeds YouTube videos. YouTube may collect data when you watch these videos. Please refer to Google's privacy policy for details.
Render — Our app is hosted on Render. Please refer to Render's privacy policy for details on their data handling.
We take reasonable measures to protect your personal information. Passwords are hashed and never stored in readable form. Our database is hosted on secure infrastructure.
Our app uses session cookies to keep you logged in. These cookies contain no readable personal information and expire after 30 days or when you log out.
You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time from within the app. Go to Profile and tap "Delete my account". You can also contact us at fwtword@gmail.com.
Fellowship With The Word is suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without parental consent.
As Fellowship With The Word grows we will update this Privacy Policy accordingly. We will always display the date of the last update at the top of this page.
