There is a kind of communication that comes with the knowledge and definition of one’s purpose. That knowledge forges a mindset of responsibility. Jesus never went about seeking a company or crew for a pity party. But what was impending was his death. Looking for people to applaud you for what is your responsibility is a sign that mind renewal is much required. As Christians, embracing the mindset of Christ is not only about his kindness and compassion, but a laser focus on the execution of God's will and pleasing him Paul said it this way, “For am I now seeking the approval of man, or of God? Or am I trying to please man? If I were still trying to please man, I would not be a servant of Christ.” Galatians 1:10 ESV Also, he said, “No soldier gets entangled in civilian pursuits, since his aim is to please the one who enlisted him. ” 2 Timothy 2:4 ESV Most of the time, complaints come from a consumer mindset. The one who has taken ownership of their assignment always asks the right questions when faced with challenges. In life and our walk of faith, you'll realize that the consumer mindset is always associated with immaturity in the things of the Spirit, while the mindset of responsibility is associated with maturity. Immaturity stems from love that has not been perfected, while maturity comes from the perfecting in love. In other words, when the believer lacks a depth or understanding of the revelation of God's love for them, immaturity is inevitable. And you don't get mature in God because of longevity in the faith. On the other hand, the understanding of the revelation of God's love for you produces in you a compulsion toward responsibility. “For the love of Christ compels us, because we judge thus: that if One died for all, then all died; ” II Corinthians 5:14 NKJV Life begins to make sense when you live for a cause greater than yourself. The Lord Jesus defines that cause because it was predestined before time began (Ephesians 2v10). It is a good life you're called to walk in, not because everything will be rosy, but because you'll find satisfaction and completion in His leadership in the path of righteousness (Psalms 23v3). Please listen, you were not born empty, regardless of what you may have been told. Everyone who is born of God has something to offer. One of the greatest disservices to yourself is to discount yourself from the greatest honor of life after being born again, which is serving God's purposes. Most believers end up doing little for God because of a distorted sense of value, shaped by the system of this world. Please don't let status, career, academic achievement, or even marriage stand in the way of your divine assignment. Trust God for the expression of his wisdom in you to navigate all these. As you pray and fellowship in the word, He will place desires and promptings in your heart. And he will surround you with the right company. Submit yourself to Him and watch the wonder he makes of you. You're stronger than you think you are. Just because you're in Christ. Prayer: Father, thank you for your Spirit in me, who brings me to the revelation knowledge of your love for me. I yield myself to your leadership, and I take responsibility in fulfilling your purpose for me in Jesus name. Amen
