No Believer is Powerless - That Includes You!

Ephesians 3:20 AMP 'Now to Him who is able to [carry out His purpose and] do superabundantly more than all that we dare ask or think [infinitely beyond our greatest prayers, hopes, or dreams], according to His power that is at work within us,'

The knowledge you have about God is what makes you experience victory in the day of adversity. There's a popular saying that a prayerless Christian is a powerless Christian. But when you think about the truth of that statement, it falls short of the reality of Scripture. A prayerless Christian is an ignorant Christian. And an ignorant Christian is an unproductive Christian. It is in ignorance that the Devil takes advantage of the believer. You'd also notice that where there is ignorance, a close counterpart that the Devil introduces is fear. Boldness in the face of the challenges of life is a function of who you know is with you. The psalmist said in Psalm 23:4 ESV that "Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me." You see, his boldness in the face of evil is because he KNOWS Who is with him. And the promise of God's presence with you is with an emphatic mention in Hebrews 13:5 AMPC, "...for He [God] Himself has said, I will not in any way fail you nor give you up nor leave you without support. [I will] not, [I will] not, [I will] not in any degree leave you helpless nor forsake nor let [you] down (relax My hold on you)! [Assuredly not!]" You probably have no idea the intensity of God's commitment to you. It is radical. Similarly, another reality of the man in Christ is that you inherently carry power by virtue of the new birth. The apostle Paul puts it this way in 1 Corinthians 1:24 ESV, "but to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God." Christ living in you is the presence of power, wisdom, righteousness, sanctification, and much more. You've got to come alive to the reality of the kingdom of God in your heart. God wants to change things on this earth through you. But ignorance is an impediment. And he will never get knowledge for you. That's why besides Paul's teaching to the churches, he prayed in Ephesians 1:18-19 AMP "And [I pray] that the eyes of your heart [the very center and core of your being] may be enlightened [flooded with light by the Holy Spirit], so that you will know and cherish the hope [the divine guarantee, the confident expectation] to which He has called you, the riches of His glorious inheritance in the saints (God's people), and [so that you will begin to know] what the immeasurable and unlimited and surpassing greatness of His [active, spiritual] power is in us who believe. These are in accordance with the working of His mighty strength" Remember that you are never powerless. You are never helpless. The Holy Spirit in you is the Power and is your Helper. He never leaves. Make the power in you available as you spend time in prayer. "...The earnest (heartfelt, continued) prayer of a righteous man makes tremendous power available [dynamic in its working]." James 5:16 AMPC Prayer: Father, I thank you for your power working in me. You've blessed me with everything I need for life and godliness. As I pray and commune with you, I grow more aware of your ability in and through me. Thank you for this grace. Amen!
