Fellowship With The Word
Luke 6:45 NLT [45] A good person produces good things from the treasury of a good heart, and an evil person produces evil things from the treasury of an evil heart.

In the Scripture above, the word “heart” is from the Greek “Kardia” and is used to represent soul (mind, emotions, and will). Not the organ that pumps blood. What you say flows from what is in your soul. It's even more interestingly put in the TPT of Luke 6:45 TPT [45] People are known in this same way. Out of the virtue stored in their hearts, good and upright people will produce good fruit. Likewise, out of the evil hidden in their hearts, evil ones will produce what is evil. For the overflow of what has been stored in your heart will be seen by your fruit and will be heard in your words. You can't hide the substance of your soul long enough as long as you speak, because it is revealed in your words and your choices or decisions. Despite the moments we may communicate groundbreaking revelations, preach, and do kingdom stuff, there's a gauge for maturity. James puts it this way: James (Jacob) 3:2 TPT [2] We all fail in many areas, but especially with our words. Yet if we are able to bridle the words we say, we are powerful enough to control ourselves in every way, and that means our character is mature and fully developed. Reflect on what you say and how you say what you say. Sometimes we don't realize that how we say things matters as much as what we say. The image you express matters much. It must be Christlike. Maturity is first seen in the character of your words. A believer has a perfect spirit but not a perfect soul. And that's why mind renewal is the most important aspect of a believer's walk. A change of mind will show in changes in speech, decisions, actions, and life. If you're not a child of God, believe in the sacrifice, the gift, and the Lordship of Jesus, and start growing. If you are a child of God, renew your mind and let your light shine in thoughts, in words, and in deeds. Prayer: Father, thank you for the gift of your Word and your Spirit. I yield myself to transformation by your Spirit in your word as I renew my mind. Your thoughts are becoming my thoughts. Your words are becoming my words, and I’m shining your light brightly in my world. Rightly representing you in all things. Amen.
