Fellowship With The Word
Ephesians 1:13 NKJV “In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise,”

A very important consideration in your walk with God is your perspective on His gift or promise. I’ve come to realize that many believers are not content unless they see material prosperity in their lives after they believe (Philippians 4v11-13 AMPC, TPT). Often, this is because of the kind of gospel they believed in. In our opening verse, God reveals that the word of truth is the good news about deliverance (salvation) from the bondage of sin and death (also Eph 1v7). And we further see that what we received after believing was not something perishable or material, but the Holy Spirit. The Holy Ghost is all we need for life and godliness, given by God. He is ALL that God has to offer. He is God's gift to humanity and much more. Think about it, when God thought to give you a gift, He gave you Himself. What could be better than that? Is there anything that we can desire that can compare with Him? If it were material things we inherited from Him, then there are those in the suburbs and villages who can conclude that they have received nothing from God and that God is partial. Don't summarize or despise the gift of God to the extent of comparing it with anything material. His grace can't be bought with anything physical. Discover the gift of God in you in the person of the Holy Spirit daily as you fellowship with the Word and in prayer with obedience. The sum total of all the riches in the heavenlies in Christ is now dwelling in you. And He's more than enough. He is the guarantee of our inheritance in Christ. Let's renew our minds to being comfortable with the sufficiency of the Holy Spirit. It takes away expressions of greed and focuses on contentment and gratitude. Once we catch this, something will burst forth in our love walk - the hallmark of our Christian maturity. 1 Corinthians 14:1 NLT [1] Let love be your highest goal!... PRAYER: Father, thank you for the gift of the Holy Spirit now dwelling in me. I am grateful for his companionship, partnership, friendship, leadership, and authority in my life. I yield to your promptings, and I fulfill your will for my life. Amen!
