Fellowship With The Word

Let Christ Be Your Only Focus

II Corinthians 3:18 NKJV “But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.”

The joy of following Christ is in the transformation that we experience. The basis of judgment at the end of our life’s will not be "how many church services did you attend", or "how many hours of work did you clock in", or any superficial thing. We're meant to show his glory and virtue in the good works we’ve been called to accomplish. See (Ephesians 2:10) The interesting thing is there is no transformation without Christ. All change comes by seeing Jesus. 2 Corinthians 3:18 AMP [18] And we all, with unveiled face, continually seeing as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are progressively being transformed into His image from [one degree of] glory to [even more] glory, which comes from the Lord, [who is] the Spirit. Until Christ is the focus of your vision, it's difficult or impossible to experience true transformation. Sometimes we want to force ourselves to do God's will. But He doesn't want you to force yourself after he gave you the nature that permits you to do it. The difficulty in doing God's will is distraction, which comes from the wrong focus. Make Jesus your obsession and the preoccupation of your mind. Ponder his grace, his love, his work of salvation with you as the centre of it all, the focus of all his efforts. The focus of his will is men. He wants men to be saved. He wants men to come to knowledge of him. The most attractive gift to the dead men (spiritually) is salvation - true life. And the fragrance of true life is in fellowship with Him (Christ). Fellowship with God is in knowledge. And that's where the transformation is. Child of God, salvation is a gift, but fellowship with God is still a choice. That's where you discover love. And love doesn't leave anybody the same after a proper encounter. I rejoice whenever I see the changes that occur in my life because of my oneness with Christ. PRAYER: Lord Jesus, thank you for making me the object and the subject of your love. I do not struggle to love you because you have given me your nature of love. Thank you because as I behold you, I am transformed into your same image from glory to glory. My life is a sign and a wonder to my generation, and I do the good works that you’ve called me to do, in Jesus name I pray, amen.
