The discovery of and belief in God's righteousness revealed in Christ is the power that saves men. That discovery can only be made in the gospel. It is the avenue of the expression of God's love. So, we can say that the gospel is the expose of God's ability to uphold justice to its pristine standard (by dealing with sin in Christ), while displaying unmatched and unquantifiable love simultaneously (by raising us from the dead in Christ). The proclamation of this freedom we've obtained and the new life in Christ is the gospel. Paul coined it this way... Romans 1:16-17 NKJV [16] For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek. [17] For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “The just shall live by faith.” Learn to see God's intentionality in the pages of scripture. See His love in all his actions. Your fellowship gets better with that. Please think deeply about these words, they are not superficial. They'll bless you. PRAYER: Lord Jesus, thank you for your extravagant love and grace. Thank you for crediting your righteousness to my account and making me a new creature. Lord, I see you and more In the written word, I see myself and I am transformed to become increasingly like you. As I give myself to the ministry of the word and prayer, may this light in me shine so bright that men in darkness will come to the knowledge of you. In Jesus name I pray, amen.
