Fellowship With The Word

God’s will is for all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth (1 Tim 2v4). This captures the full weight of God's will. Salvation and knowledge of Him. For all men to be saved, and for all men to come to the knowledge of the truth, there must be preaching. Romans 10:13-14 ESV it is put like this [13] For “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” [14] How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? It's very central to the execution of God's will. That's why the charge Jesus gave before leaving, was to go into all the world and make disciples of the nations. To teach and make students of the nations. Letting them know to observe the things He spoke (Mtt 28v19-20). Paul also echoes this when he said in Titus 1:1-3 ESV when he says that the calling he received from God is for the elect to come to the knowledge of the truth and it is through preaching. So already we can see how he's preaching for men to be saved (Romans 10v13-14) and for the elect to come to the knowledge of the truth (Titus 1v1-3). As children of God, whatever it is that we think we're called to do has to have this as underlying factor. What's the benefit of being a doctor saving physical lives that still end in hell? Or a firefighter rescuing people who end up condemned? Child of God, Know the message, let it influence your life and speak it out. You are the light that the dark world is waiting for. Jesus said... John 9:5 ESV [5] As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.” Also, in John 8:12 ESV [12] Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness but will have the light of life.” And Matthew 5:16 ESV [16] In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven. So please don't hold back. We have something to offer by the foolishness of preaching. We administer life as ambassadors of Christ. PRAYER: Lord Jesus, thank you for your word that has come to me today. Thank you for revealing your will and the thing that matters most to you. I partner with your Spirit to do the work of ministry. I preach the message of your kingdom to the ends of the earth, and I disciple men to do the work of ministry, until all come to know you. I declare that through my life, men will receive the light of life. In Jesus name I pray, amen.
