Salvation (The Gift of God)

Titus 3:3-8

15-08-2026

In Titus 3:3-8 NLT scripture says [3] Once we, too, were foolish and disobedient. We were misled and became slaves to many lusts and pleasures. Our lives were full of evil and envy, and we hated each other. [4] But — When God our Savior revealed his kindness and love, [5] he saved us, not because of the righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He washed away our sins, giving us a new birth and new life through the Holy Spirit. [6] He generously poured out the Spirit upon us through Jesus Christ our Savior. [7] Because of his grace he made us right in his sight and gave us confidence that we will inherit eternal life. [8] This is a trustworthy saying, and I want you to insist on these teachings so that all who trust in God will devote themselves to doing good. These teachings are good and beneficial for everyone. Salvation may have become cliche in many circles. But it is the revelation of the God's love, kindness and goodness to mankind independent of anything man can do. If you don't understand salvation, you can't understand God's love, and if you can't understand God's love you can't love right. But remember Paul's charge in 1 Corinthians 14:1 NLT [1] Let love be your highest goal! When the apostle Paul was training the early churches, this is what he asked the leaders to emphasize. And given that we don't get creative with the faith that was handed down to us, let's equally insist on this subject. It is by these teachings that men devote themselves to doing good. Let's invest ourselves in learning salvation. Every effort at learning salvation is an effort towards learning God's heart, God's will and God's thinking process or mindset. PRAYER: Lord Jesus, thank you for this wonderful gift of salvation. Your word says that it is your will for all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. This is the reason you went to the cross. May I be preoccupied with the things that matter to you. May I invest in knowing more about this gift that I have received and with this knowledge disciple and raise men for you. In Jesus name, Amen.
