Neither are the mistakes that you've made keeping you in bad relationship with Him. Good before God is a product of a good nature. One that is renewed. So too is bad. If you believe and confess the Lord Jesus, you are good before God. The reason is because you have completely depended on the obedience of Jesus more than yours to please God. Romans 5:17 NLT [17] For the sin of this one man, Adam, caused death to rule over many. But even greater is God’s wonderful grace and his gift of righteousness, for all who receive it will live in triumph over sin and death through this one man, Jesus Christ. When God sees you, he sees Jesus. He took your place in sin, so you can have His place and enjoy the relationship he had with God. 2 Corinthians 5:21 MSG [21] How? you ask. In Christ. God put the wrong on him who never did anything wrong, so we could be put right with God. Please stop being confident in your ability to influence how God sees you. He loves you for nothing. That's how good He is. Remember that you have a nature that causes you to do right. Let that be the truth you accept so that you can live that way. Walking with God is not complicated. PRAYER: Lord Jesus, thank you for taking away the nature of sin and giving me a nature of righteousness. Thank you because your love for me is not dependent on my actions but solely on what you did on the cross. Because of you I am holy, righteous, justified and set apart to do good works. Your word is my reality, and I accept everything you’ve said about me with meekness and humility. Amen!
