1 Peter 2:2 As newborn babies, long for the pure milk of the Word, that with it you may grow.
Log in to save this devotionalToday’s word is an encouragement for us to stay on fire and constantly stirred up in the things of God. You see, sometimes you may wonder why you lack motivation to do the things of God or even just pray. But when your true life is informed by the Word, that Word burns within you as zeal, passion or hunger. Remember you're born of the eternal Word (1 Peter 1v23) having been born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, through the word of God, which lives and remains forever, which is Spirit and Life (John 6v63) It is the spirit who gives life. The flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit and are life. In the book of 1 Peter 2v2 the apostle says this, as newborn babes, desire the pure milk of the word, that you may grow thereby, Now, this could mean he is talking to spiritual infants and telling them to desire the word to grow. Or it could mean that no matter what level you're at, let your desire for the Word be like that of a tender infant who would cry out for it until its given. But whichever way it's diced, the bottom line is to go for the Word. That is where transformation resides 2 Corinthians 3:18 AMPC And all of us, as with unveiled face, [because we] continued to behold [in the Word of God] as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are constantly being transfigured into His very own image in ever increasing splendor and from one degree of glory to another; [for this comes] from the Lord [Who is] the Spirit. PRAYER: Lord, I thank you for this word of encouragement. Thank you for putting in me the desire to know and grow in the knowledge of you. I decree and declare that my desires begin to align with your perfect will and that I stand perfect and complete in all the will of God. In Jesus name I pray, amen.
