Log in to save this devotionalHave you ever thought about the life of the new man? The new man is only new because of Christ. Christ is the beginning, the author and the end of the identity of man. He is the start and the finish of man's identity, such that there's no identity outside Christ. It's important to know that you have bearings in life today because the definition of your life came with Christ. Imagine that the best of men outside Christ is still lost. So, there's nothing to envy about confusion packaged in affluence. What a privilege to be in Christ! All we have to offer to this world is Christ in us. Christ IN us is the hope of glory. The riches of the knowledge of Christ is more than silver and gold, more than the rubies and pearls, the diamonds and the sapphire and all precious items according to this world's standards. The sum total of them all pales significantly in comparison to the knowledge of Christ. Our sufficiency is of God saints. No wonder Paul said I consider everything else as dung and dregs compared to the knowledge of Christ (Phil 3v8). If we have Christ, we have everything. But the experience of Christ is also a function of knowledge. And so, our fellowship with Him and our experience of the realities in him appreciate as our knowledge increases. For this is life eternal, that we may know him. Discover Christ and you discover you. So, the only life worth living on earth is the one characterized by the knowledge of Christ. Give yourself to that cause as long as you have breath. To know him and the power of His resurrection and the fellowship of his sufferings. PRAYER: Thank you Lord for the life that I have in you, thank you for calling me out of darkness into your marvellous light. Help me to see me the way you see me. May may life always be an expression of your love. Amen!
